Redraw the building you researched. Produce the drawings you need to explain the building structure: cross sections, floor plans, elevations. These are vector based (CAD). The scale is 1:100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This assignment is to explore and draw how your building transforms if the following parameter is applied: the entrance is placed at 4.75 m. above the ground floor (current entrance point). Produce the drawings that explain the spatial consequences and changes in the building structure: cross sections, floor plans, elevations, axonometric or isometric drawing. Use only line drawings (no filling or hatches). The scale is 1:100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Task 3<\/strong>
This assignment is to explore and draw how the building transforms if the following parameter is applied: design one more room within the given square-meters of the floor-plan. This room is lit by natural light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Task 4<\/strong>
This assignment is to explore and draw how the building transforms if the following parameter is applied: in the aftermath of the climate change architectural bearingstructures are planned in order to cope with a larger mass of flowing water (rainwater) or heavier loads of snow. Your task is to structurally reinforce the roof of your building (as an example by adding columns or reinforcing the existing walls). Study first the bearing structure of your building before you make a proposal. Unavoidably this should be treated as an aesthetic question that reflects the aesthetic principles of your building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Task 5<\/strong>
TGA The sixth assignment is to explore and draw how the building transforms if the following parameter is applied: it is the exception more than the rule that the technology that deals with the environmental management of a building, the building utilities (HVACR) in German Technische Geb\u00e4udeausr\u00fcstung (TGA), becomes integral part of the aesthetics of a building design; some examples are: Catherine Beecher’s design of the American Woman’s House (1869), the Baker House by Frank Lloyd Wright (1908), and the flamboyant Centre Pompidou in Paris (1977). Your assignment is to connect the interior environment of your building to the roof with a duct (Kanal) of 40 x 20cm (in section) , the duct has to go through at least 3 existing rooms and reach the roof. Study how the building utilities are designed in your building. This requirement is dealt with in an aesthetic way and reflecting the aesthetic principles of your building. Produce the drawings for each individual task that explain the spatial consequences and changes in the building: cross sections, floor plans, elevations, axonometric or isometric drawing.
